Your adventure continues with a full day dedicated to exploring Marrakech with a knowledgeable local guide. You’ll embark on a sightseeing tour of the Medina, visiting iconic sites such as the famous Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. You’ll also have the chance to explore the Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School and the stunning Majorelle Gardens. After a day filled with culture and history, you’ll return to your traditional riad in the Medina for the night.
On the third day, your journey to Dades Gorges begins around 08:30. You’ll traverse the scenic Tizi N’Tichka pass, taking in breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains and charming Berber villages. Your first stop will be the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant nearby. Continuing on to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gate to the Desert,” you’ll visit the Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas Studios, earning this small city its nickname as the Hollywood of Africa. Afterward, you’ll drive toward Dades Gorges, passing through the stunning Roses and Dades Valley before enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner and settling in for the night at a riad or hotel in the gorges.

The day’s exploration will take you through the Merzouga area, where you’ll visit the seasonal lake, known for its migratory birds, including flamingos. You’ll also experience the culture and music of the local Gnawa people, who originally hail from Sub-Saharan Africa. As you make your way to a nomad family, you’ll stop in the small, deserted town of Mefes to learn about its lead mines and minerals. After a day of discovery, you’ll enjoy dinner at your hotel, where you’ll spend the night.
On your sixth day, after a farewell breakfast and a refreshing shower, you’ll leave Merzouga and embark on a journey to Ouarzazate via a different route. You’ll traverse through picturesque Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains, including Alnif and Agdz, as you travel through the Draa Valley. Arriving in Ouarzazate in the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a local riad.
On the final day of your tour, you’ll depart Ouarzazate in the morning, heading back to Marrakech.
