Begin your 6-day private tour from Marrakech with a scenic drive through the stunning Atlas Mountains, ascending the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260m). Along the way, visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a famous kasbah renowned for its role in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Next, travel to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you’ll explore Atlas Film Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah. Afterward, continue through the beautiful Valley of Roses, famous for its annual rose festival, before arriving at the striking Dades Gorges. Here, enjoy your first overnight stay at a traditional riad or hotel with dinner and breakfast.
On day two, continue the adventure with a visit to the stunning Todra Gorge, known for its towering cliffs and vivid colors, perfect for a scenic hike. Then, drive through the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves, until you reach Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil workshops and craftsmanship. As you approach the Erg Chebbi Dunes, switch to camels and embark on a ride into the heart of the Sahara Desert, admiring the magnificent sunset over the dunes. Arrive at your Berber-style desert camp, where you’ll enjoy sandboarding, a delicious dinner, and live Berber music around a campfire under the stars.
Spend the third day exploring the magic of the Merzouga desert. Enjoy a camel trek or opt for a 4×4 excursion to visit the traditional Khamlia Village, famous for its unique Gnawa music performances. Continue to Mefes, a historic mining village that still holds traces of its French colonial past. As part of the desert experience, you’ll also meet a local nomad family and gain insights into their traditional way of life. End the day with a stay at a riad or hotel in the Merzouga area.
After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel through the lively town of Rissani, where you’ll explore the largest souk in the region. Continue through the picturesque Ziz Valley and palm groves to reach Midelt, where you’ll pause for lunch. Drive onward to the Azrou Cedar Forest, home to playful Barbary apes. Before arriving in Fes, stop by the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and ski resorts. Overnight in Fes.
Embark on a guided tour of Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Explore the historic Fes el Bali Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its ancient alleys, souks, and the world’s oldest university. Visit the Attarine Museum, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the vibrant tanneries. Discover the Jewish Quarter in Fes-Jdid, along with the more modern parts of the city. After lunch, depart for Casablanca, where you’ll spend the night in Morocco’s largest and most bustling city
On the final day, visit Casablanca’s most iconic landmark, the impressive Hassan II Mosque, before making your way back to the lively city of Marrakech. It is roughly 1 hour for sunset and another hour for sunrise the following day. Time depends on season, Day light saving time, and sunset/sunrise time.

 

You can. a 4×4 will be offered to transfer you from Merzouga lodge to Erg Chebbi desert camp for an extra fee of 30 Euros ( Included in luxury tent option )

 

There will be a few sand boards available at the camp operator’s lodge to use at leisure ( Availability not guaranteed ). You can ask for one to take to the camp with you. They are free of charge
