Depending on the time, there may be opportunities to visit other local attractions. Afterward, you’ll head to Rabat, the administrative capital, where you’ll explore significant sites such as the magnificent Mohammed V Mausoleum and the iconic Hassan Tower. In the late afternoon, you’ll depart for Fes, stopping in Meknes to admire Bab Mansour, a gate built by Moulay Ismail in the 17th century, often referred to as “the Moroccan Versailles.” Finally, you’ll continue to Fes, where you’ll check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, the journey continues towards Merzouga. You’ll first visit Ifrane, a charming town known for its Swiss-style architecture. Next, you’ll stop in Azrou to explore Morocco’s largest cedar forest, where you may encounter friendly Barbary Apes. After lunch in Midelt, you’ll travel towards Merzouga, stopping at a panoramic viewpoint of Ziz Valley to take in the stunning scenery. Arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon, you’ll embark on a camel trek to discover the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes. Your day concludes with a night at a well-equipped desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and lively Berber music around the campfire.
On the third day, you’re encouraged to rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp and a refreshing shower, you’ll depart for Tinghir, heading to the stunning Todra Gorges, known for their dramatic cliffs and narrow passages.
