Tour Itinerary

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or riad in Fes. We’ll embark on a scenic drive south toward Azrou, passing through Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland” for its charming architecture and lush landscapes. Our first stop will be the breathtaking cedar forest, where you can capture memorable photos with the playful Barbary apes. Continuing through the stunning landscapes of the Middle Atlas mountains, we’ll make our way to Midelt for lunch. Afterward, we’ll proceed through the picturesque Ziz Valley, eventually reaching Erfoud and, finally, Merzouga. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing cup of tea and will spend the night at your chosen hotel or riad.

After enjoying breakfast, we’ll set out to explore the Merzouga region. Our first stop will be the village of the Black people, originally from Mali, where you can experience their vibrant music and unique way of life. Next, we’ll visit the Miffis Mines to learn about the mining processes before heading deep into the mesmerizing dunes for a scenic tea break with the local Bedouins. Later, your local guides will provide instructions on camel riding, ensuring you’re well-prepared for your adventure across the stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes. You’ll spend the night in a cozy Berber tent under the stars, immersing yourself in the tranquility of the desert.

Rise early to witness one of the most spectacular sunrises over the sand dunes, where the shifting colors create a magical atmosphere. After breakfast at the desert camp, we’ll journey to Tinghir and explore the breathtaking Todra Gorges, known for being the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. This picturesque spot is perfect for hiking or simply relaxing by the river, where you can savor local Berber delicacies for lunch. After our time at the gorge, we’ll continue our journey through the stunning Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night at a lovely hotel perched atop the mountains.

After enjoying a delicious local breakfast, we’ll pack up and begin our return journey to Fes. As we depart Todra Gorge, we’ll navigate through lush palm groves and follow the scenic Ziz Valley, making a stop at a panoramic viewpoint to enjoy tea and admire the stunning vistas. As we travel north, take in the beauty of the Middle Atlas Mountains and keep an eye out for nomadic settlements with their traditional goat-hair tents. We’ll stop for lunch before continuing through the mountains, where you can visit the charming alpine town of Ifrane and even feed the mischievous Barbary monkeys in the cedar trees. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive back in Fes, where we’ll conclude our memorable desert adventure and bid you farewell.
